BIOGRAPHY

Between 1994 and 2005, J.V. wrote/produced/directed television documentaries, earning several awards. All the while, J.V., who began his career in radio at age 15 working in the news department at KGIL in Los Angeles as a writer and occasional on-air reporter, missed terribly being around microphones.

The ache to get back on mic eventually became so strong that in 2001 J.V. began offering his voice for 'scratch tracks' to all of the other producers at the company where he worked in order to be heard by as many network execs as possible with the intent of launching a voice-over career.

It paid off. In 2002, he was booked to do his first narration job in television - a Travel Channel documentary. Things really took off after that, and by the end of 2002 he had already narrated nine documentaries. Because of his experience as a producer, J.V. has a complete understanding of and respect for the jobs of the writer, producer and director - a rare quality that his clients greatly value.

In 2005, the growing demands of J.V.'s new voice-over career made him decide to retire from his 'day job' of producing. J.V. has gone on to become one of the most prolific narration voice actors on television. Beginning with 'Anatomy of a Shark Bite' in 2003, his voice is heard every year on the Discovery Channel's wildly popular 'Shark Week' specials.

His many other valued clients include: FOX, Court TV, NBC News Productions, National Geographic Channel, The History Channel, Discovery Science Channel, Discovery Health Channel, Food Network, GSN, The Travel Channel, SOAPnet, The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Foundation, Animal Planet, Sci-Fi Channel and The National Hockey League.
