I'M A STORYTELLER...
I always have been. I remember being excited way back in 3rd grade, when my teacher, Mrs. Floyd, would call on me first when it came time to read aloud during class...
At the age of fifteen, I became a radio newswriter, which eventually led to work in writing, production, and direction of television documentaries. And so I stumbled into the world of voice over, recording a temp narration track for a network project and being mistaken for the 'real' narrator by the execs!
I soon began booking narration roles, even while still working as a producer, eventually forcing me to choose between the two. Not much of a choice, really. People wanted me to tell stories to a nationwide audience, and pay me for it? I couldn't be more thrilled!
AND I'M A TEAM MEMBER
Though I'm now considered "the talent", my experience as part of a production crew allows me to view projects from a broader perspective, which my clients appreciate. I know what it's like on the other side of the glass, and have a much better understanding of what goes into the creation of a television program - the blood, sweat, and tears that go into each phase of a production.
And I am always so honored to be trusted with the telling of these stories, whether it be a documentary, reality show, corporate video, promo, or commercial.
